These terms govern trades and transactions carried out on the U-Kofi marketplace, connecting African cooperatives with European buyers.
Trade Policy
All trades performed on the U-Kofi platform are subject to international export regulations and the specific laws of the origin country (e.g. Uganda) and destination country (e.g. EU Member States).
EUDR Compliance
U-Kofi provides tools for EUDR (European Union Deforestation Regulation) compliance. While we strive for accuracy in mapping and data collection, the ultimate responsibility for compliance verification remains with the importing and exporting entities.
Payment & Settlement
U-Kofi serves as a marketplace and traceability interface. Financial settlements are handled through verified third-party payment gateways or direct bank transfers between parties. U-Kofi is not liable for payment disputes between buyers and sellers.
Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from the use of the platform or trade transactions shall be settled through arbitration under the rules of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Uganda, and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction.
